About this product

Een symbool van keizerlijke macht en autoriteit, onze handgeschilderde waterdraak werd ontworpen in de Sanderson-studio. De traditionele achtergrond van wolken en rotsen doet denken aan Chinees porselein, geherinterpreteerd in een weelderig, rijk gekleurd katoenfluweel.

Het einde van de 19e en het begin van de 20e eeuw was een romantische periode voor Engelse decoratie, sterk beïnvloed door de blijvende resonantie van oosterse stijlen. Japanisme en een liefde voor Indiase en Chinese patronen die doen denken aan die in de voorouderlijke huizen van onze natie bleven populair, verder gewaardeerd door een nieuw en jonger publiek.
