About this product

Gestileerde motieven van bloemen en fruit zijn prachtig geplaatst op deze all-over katoen-linnen mix stof, aangepast van een zeldzaam Frans textielmonster uit de 18e eeuw. Deze meubelstof is oorspronkelijk blokdruk, maar is gereproduceerd in een eigentijdse inktblauwe en neutrale kleurstelling.

Het einde van de 19e en het begin van de 20e eeuw was een romantische periode voor Engelse decoratie, sterk beïnvloed door de blijvende resonantie van oosterse stijlen. Japanisme en een liefde voor Indiase en Chinese patronen die doen denken aan die in de voorouderlijke huizen van onze natie bleven populair, verder gewaardeerd door een nieuw en jonger publiek.
