About this product

Het weelderige botanische dessin is geïnspireerd op klassieke wandtapijten en werd overgebracht op een luxe fil-à-fil textiel

Niemand weet precies wanneer de eerste verdures werden gemaakt, maar tegen de 16de eeuw waren deze wandtapijten alomtegenwoordig. Volledig gevuld met decoratief loofwerk, vertoonden ze vaak een meesterlijk spel van zon en schaduw in het gebladerte. Het weelderige bladerpatroon van Verdure, geïnspireerd op deze klassieke wandtapijten, werd met de hand geschilderd. Met de grootste zorg werden licht- en schaduwvlakken gecreëerd, tot een prachtig decor met veel diepte ontstond. De schildering werd overgebracht op een luxe fil-à-fil textiel, de perfecte keuze voor dit weelderige dessin.
