1. Cute baby room next to bedroom

The first period after your baby is born, you naturally want it as close to you as possible. Especially during the nights, you even let the baby sleep in your own bedroom. And when it's time to let go of him or her a little, so she sleeps in her own bedroom, it's nice to have the baby's bedroom close to your own.

In Scandinavian homes, you have the perfect layout for that. Many rooms, directly adjacent to each other, are simply connected by a door. Below you can see a perfect example of this!

By extending the wooden floor of your own bedroom into the baby room, you create a nice whole, so to speak. The rooms can be separated by closing the door. But of course you can also just leave it open.

This nursery is also super cute with the stylish decoration. The cute white cot is by the Sebra brand. And above the bed on the wall are a number of compartments hung from Ferm Living. Two in the shape of cute little houses and two square compartments. In the corner of the nursery is the stylish leather butterfly chair.

2. Minimalist baby room with black walls

We found this cute minimalist nursery at Lapetitemag.com, where Apphia Michael has written about the nursery of her 11-month-old baby daughter, Tallis. Aphhia had always been a lover of minimalist interiors. She has been working for the popular Wallpaper* magazine for seven years, which has made her love the minimalist style even more. Even when it came to furnishing her super cute baby daughter's nursery.

Apphia spent hours on Pinterest looking for great ideas for the baby's room. Hundreds of inspirational boards she saw. She went for a neutral style, so you cannot tell whether it is a room for a boy or a girl. So no excessive pink tones and frills.

All the walls are painted super dark grey, almost black. The dark ones are combined with a laminate floor, which was already there when they moved into the house. With some big round hooks on the wall from Muuto and Hay in pink and natural wood, the look of the baby's room is softened. I really like the colour of light wood, which is also reflected in the cute minimalist cot. A cute poster was hung on the wall with washitape, which is always a good idea for decorating and brightening up a baby's room.

Apphia calls the result old paredback new Nordic aesthetic. She says it is finished for now, but is actually never finished. Over time, she likes to change all kinds of things in the interior. A new wooden floor, which she wanted from the beginning, new decoration, you name it.

3. Cute baby room with soft pastel colours

This cute baby room belongs to Luizas, Tilda's youngest daughter. Tilda is a well-known fashion and interior design blogger from Sweden. Her sense of interior design is reflected in the baby room she decorated for her daughter.

There is a lot to see and experience in this baby room. Nevertheless, you feel that everything is right and fits together. The base is formed by a grey floor and light grey painted walls. Grey and white also form the main colour base here. The cute white bed by Sebra, for example. The advantage of this bed is that it is an adaptable bed that can last for years. There is even a mini version of the Sebra bed available.

Besides the bed, you will also find a grey chest of drawers and a white rug. But in the form of various cute decorative accessories, you will also find lots of soft pastel colours. The blue pendulum flags on the ceiling, for example, the round rug, the decorative clouds, the light purple table set, you name it.

The longer you look at the nursery, the more cute elements you discover. The cute storage bags, the hot air balloon pendant lamp, the wall rack, the big giraffe cuddly toy, the miffy lamp, and the teepee tent.

4. Chic pink baby room with floral wallpaper

This is the chic pink baby room, which mum Monika Hibbs decorated for her baby daughter. Monika knew for a long time how she wanted to decorate the baby room. She loves flowers and watercolour. And she wide that the wallpaper will be the eye-catcher in the room. So she started by picking out beautiful wallpaper with a watercolour pattern of pink flowers. This might sound very busy, but by combining the wallpaper with chic classic panelling, it actually adds a lot of fun. Especially in combination with the atmospheric warm wooden floor.

Monika also chose more neutral furniture and accessories. Although the rug, the bed linen, the cushion on the chair and a few more small elements are still pink, she chose white doors, a white cot and chest of drawers, white frames on the wall, a large white floor lamp and white curtains.

What is also really super cute in this nursery is the small walk-in wardrobe, which is decorated with a super cute wooden clothes rack and some wooden wall shelves with woven storage baskets.

5. Julian's tiny Scandinavian nursery

This small nursery belongs to Julian. It is one of the rooms of a Scandinavian flat, characterised by wonderful authentic details such as beautiful ornate ornaments on the ceiling. These details are combined with a modern classic Scandinavian interior style.

The children's room is set up next to the living room. Remarkably, they took out the door, making it basically an op room. The classic ornaments can also be found on the ceiling in the children's room. Together with the gorgeous authentic Scandinavian white stove, they give the room a distinctive atmosphere.

6. Baby room in corner of bedroom with black walls

It is of course very nice that a newborn baby gets its own nursery, but it is common enough that there is not the space for that. Therefore, in small flats with only one bedroom, the cot is set up in the parents' bedroom.

However, this doesn't mean you can't make something fun out of it. Below is a really nice example of that - a baby room decorated in the corner of the parents' bedroom.

Everything was created in the same style as the bedroom, with black walls, a black cot, a black mosquito net and a black photo shelf.

7. Baby room combined with home office

And even if you have a room to spare, sometimes you have to make a choice. Will you set up a fully-fledged baby room there or will it be a home office after all? In the baby room below, they combined it, with a workspace by the window.

Fair is fair, it's not even that bad. But, of course, that also has to do with how it is laid out. And they've done that very nicely here. A wooden Sebra cot, a comfortable sofa, and practical wall shelves hedge on the wall, on which nice decorative items have been placed.

8. Cosy baby room with fun furniture and decoration

A young Melbourne couple expecting their first child thought their home needed an extension to meet the needs of their growing family. Through the 'Design Diagnosis' process, Sally Holbrook of NORTHBOURNE Architecture + Design discovered that an extension was not necessary for her clients to realise their ideal living environment.

As part of the brief, they designed this beautiful modern baby room, with very fun and original ideas. A wooden floor was combined with clean light walls. Using a mix of different textures and materials, a lot of atmosphere was created in the baby room. For example, the underside of the large sliding doors of the wardrobe consists of herringbone wooden planks, and a large round macramé rug was placed in the middle of the room. The wooden cot, the luxurious lounge chair made of wood and leather, the plant in basket and the cute wall decorations all fit the picture perfectly.

9. Neutral baby room with cute wall decorations

Some decorate the baby room with a clear theme or distinct colours for a boy or a girl. But neutral baby rooms are becoming increasingly popular. Not just because someone doesn't yet know whether it will be a boy or a girl, but mainly because neutral colours and materials can be very beautiful.

This neutral baby room is a very nice example of that. The wooden floor is combined with light walls. A large high-pile rug adds a lot of atmosphere and warmth to the room, complemented by wooden furniture, such as the wooden cot and chair.

Although the walls are austere white, of course that doesn't mean it has to be bare and boring. with fun wall decorations, in the form of different prints and posters in different frames, this baby's room has become a mini gallery!

10. Cute baby room with pretty muted colours

We found this super cute baby room at ESNY, as part of a beautiful flat full of fun and personalised decoration ideas. The baby room there is also a nice example, set up next to the home office, which in turn is located next to the master bedroom.

Instead of using a fixed wall, a glass wall separates the baby's room from the home office. This ensures that the home office also benefits from the light coming from the baby's room. Curtains are hung, however, to ensure that the baby's room can be completely darkened.

The baby room features super pretty muted colours, such as the pink walls and the light grey display cabinet, which is used as a wardrobe. The fact that the all the clothes and accessories are visible through the cupboard's glass doors makes it look a bit like a fun kids' shop.

But the pink wall above the bed is also very nicely decorated, with several wall shelves with cuddly toys and frames, a stuffed animal head, a small wall coat rack and a giraffe wall lamp.
